Michel Boulanger has a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering – with specialisation in heat transfer and thermodynamics – from the University of Sherbrooke, following a bachelor course at Laval University.
He first worked as a project engineer for an HVAC consulting firm in Sainte-Foy, Paquet-Dutil. Afterwards, he joined Gaz Inter-City, a natural gas distributor, as rates manager. In this position, he has been in charge, over a two-year period, of preparing all rate structure proposals to be presented to the Electricty and Gas Board of Québec.
In 1985, he joined the Centre de recherche industrielle du Québec (CRIQ), where he played a prominent role in the development of the Energy Group. As head of the Energy Group, he had the responsibility to supervise the team of engineers and technicians working on energy R&D projects. He has been a member of the IEA Heat Pump Centre National Team and of the Canadian Committee on Electrotechnologies board of directors.
In 1996, he became a partner in Technosim inc. Mr. Boulanger is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) and the Association québécoise pour la maîtrise de l’énergie (AQME). |
